I myself have never had a regression via a practitioner, all my memories have been recalled on my own accord through visions while awake and asleep. They've all risen spontaneously. How common is that in this forum? Out of curiosity.

I've had one dream (that I later verified online), one out of body experience (that also verified online) and one spontaneous recall.

I've had a little luck doing self hypnosis, but I can't be sure that what I saw wasn't from a photograph I had already seen,.

Yeah I suppose I've never even tried the self hypnosis as others do. Perhaps though I'm just lucky and things are readily at the surface for me.

I mostly have waking flashbacks. But, I have learned a few meditation techniques that I find helpful in getting more detail. Sometimes I will start with just a small flash I might have got, then focus on that to get more details about what happened before or after.

Like you, I have many waking flashbacks and also meditate to help to have memories. I also have many in my sleep. Your methods are much like my own.

Yes. I had flashbacks since I was a little child, but I didn't know what it was. My mother would tell me I had a 'vivid imagination' if I tried to talk to her about it. I wrote about a couple of these incidents here.

Same here. I had all these flashes and didn't understand what it all meant. I should read your posts then. :)
