Soul moments

Hi again,

No actually I haven't read them but have ordered 2 and I'm just waiting for them to ship.

I thought you might also be interested in knowing that my son has always displayed a fear of water. As a baby he cried when he was being bathed - not so unusual I guess. As a toddler it took his father and I to bath him. One to hold him in the bath, the other to bathe. We live in Sydney, Australia which has a very defined beach/swim culture - actually that's really Australia in general. So, bearing this in mind, it's 'normal' to start training your child to swim at the earliest age possible and most kids can swim to save their lives by the time they 2 to 3 years of age. Many, many of them as young as 18 months. We've had no end of trouble teaching our son to swim because of his water fear. We've spent an arm and a leg on lessons over the years but his fear of water really has impacted on his ability to learn. He also becomes very, very upset when he is in a boat or ferry. It's never made sense because he's not had any scares in water in this life. I've put it down to a past life experience but I'd love to find out more about it.

Thanks again,
Mandy

Hi again Mandy! Hard to say about your son's water fear, though being afraid to swim as well as being afraid to go on boats makes one wonder...

When you get Carol Bowman's books, you'll see that in her 1st one, she talks about her childrens' fears and how they were connected to some past lives.

From my own personal experience, I feel that our bodies and minds remember events from other lives, but we're not consciously aware of these events until something triggers our memories.

Hi I am only a new member but after reading this I had a chill up my spine as I remembered what my step daughter said to me one day on the way home from work...She was in the back seat & her father had picked her up from her mothers & they had just picked me up frorm work when after chatting for a few momments her father & I became quite..Out of the blue she pipped up with''Robbie do you remember when we were in Heaven together?" Her father & I looked at each other stunned then I said " No love I don't why?" She replied " I do"..Then she continued on with I spy with my little eye game that she always liked to play..At the time she was only 3-4 years of age...I have never forgotton this...It made me feel very special as I have never been able to have children of my own so I felt like we had planned this all along before birth....:)

Hi Burnstew

Welcome to the forum and thank you so much for sharing your story...it must be such a beautiful and comforting knowing to you personally :)

a sweet story!

Hi Burnstew and thank you for sharing that story! Indeed, it must have given you great comfort to think that the two of you were meant to be together.

Who knows why we come together with others the way we do - but I believe it's not accidental.

You may enjoy reading some of the other stories about young children in this section of the forum.

Hi Brunstew, what a wonderful story ! So heartwarming it is.
What age is your stepdaughter now? And how is your relation to her? Do you still 'feel' the 'connection'?

soul moments

Hi,

Thank you to all of you lovley people that responded to my story...In response to the age of my step daughter now she is 14 years of age. We still have a wonderful relationship however as most of us are aware of at this age puberty, peer pressure, etc have a little influence so at times the closness is very strained..

On the whole though we are able to talk about such things as reincarnation & other spiritual things...Unfortunatley her mother is a cog in the wheel that often results in friction but I do believe that we will always have a strong connection as she is the child of my heart....love Robyn :)

Sharing is important. :D My son Daniel is now 21 years old... How time flies. The reason I have so much to share regarding him - is I kept a journal from day one. A journal is so important. At the time you think -I will never forget this! Ten years later - you might be surprised that what you remember and what you documented are slightly different.

Anyone else have a soul moment with a child they would like to share?

HI,

I did some work once with my own son and the vibration of Tibetan Bells which helps to open up the Chakra’s --it's amazing - This was in 1994---

Daniel was around nine years old, and after doing extensive past life regressions myself, I decided to try something new. Daniel was in a rather calm mood for a hyperactive kid,-- I asked him if he wanted to meditate with me...his eyes lit up, and said,"yah what’s that?"

I had done most of my meditating when he was in school or somewhere else due to the noisy household I had at the time. I told him it was a form of relaxing, that the light in his inner vision could take him to any place in his mind that he would like to go.

Daniel talked of the light when he was younger, so he was familiar with it. We set a timer for fifteen minutes so that we both would know when the time was up and he agreed to lay quiet and still until the bell rang.

We both laid down on my bed, and I held his hand. I put on some Tibetan Bell music and told him that the sound of the music would help him to relax and to watch for anything he might “see“ within when relaxing.

It was a beautiful experience, he laid perfectly still for 15 minutes, his breathing was shallow and he held my hand softly. I went into an altered state very fast, as he must have too. The inner light was beautiful and the unconditional love I felt between us was beyond words. When the buzzer went off, he sat up slowly and looked at me with the most amazing amount of wonder in his eyes. He said, "Did you see all the fog mommy?.... Wasn't it cool?.... That barn was awesome.... we had so much fun!"

I got chills, and tears in my eyes because I had seen and experienced the same thing. In more detail, but his confirmation to me, before I said anything was truly a gift. I could see that we can “share” memories with our children and with others.

What I experienced in the meditation was the mid 1600‘s, in England, it was cool outside, and very foggy. He was my best friend and we were playing in a barn near my house, I knew we had spent many of our childhood days playing, working and hiding in that barn.

He was a mischievous little boy of about seven and I was about eight. My name was Kayln. His name was Ian I think *S* Bad recall right now (I will have to look back in my diary for his name.)

Funny thing was that I could see at this point how our relationship was similar to my life when he was Alishia, my little sister some 100 years later. He got me in trouble then too! Meditating with our children can bring unseen gifts, for both the parent and the child.

Just thought I would share.

WOW!!! I'm going to try this with my girls this afternoon, after school!! I have a very definite "soul" feeling with the youngest, for sure, and possibly with the older one. I want to see if anything comes of this!

A couple of days ago my husband told my son that he is 'getting so big.' My son said, 'am I bigger than I was the last time I was big?'

I believe it Vicky - ;)

Kat - did you ever try the meditation with your girls? I am curious. :):):)

Hi Karoliina,

My son is now 23, he is still very intuitive - and at times has very powerful experiences. Probably the strongest - which I think he still needs to work through are his memories of war. The Vietnam War. He is fascinated with War documentaries and the stories about young men who die in battle or are maimed for life - he cries - tears streaming down his face. His thoughts are still of the 60's and his favorite cars are from the 60's and 70's. He loves old rock and roll: the Doors, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

Interesting for me to even think - it has been 18 years since that first experience. How time flies.

Danny is now 27....Becky, post #5 explains my approach with him as a child. I did a meditation with my daughter as an adult with very different results. I will see if I can dig that up for you too.

I am bringing this thread up so in post #5 for those interested - it explains my approach with my son Daniel when he had memories as a child.

Thank you for this. It was a very fascinating read. Your son would now be about my age if he had survived his most recent PL. I didn't go to Viet Nam but have friends who did.

You're welcome. :D My son is now 27 - almost 28. It's interesting for me to reflect on this old thread. The years do fly by. OMG

I am glad you enjoyed it. I just finished finals this week and hope to be around more - catching up. Happy Holiday's to all.

Daniel is 33 now. Is an Automotive tech. I found a picture the other day that caught my attention. He was 2-3 years old with a wrench trying to turn the bolt on his tricycle handle bars. I’ll try to find it and post the picture from 1987 and him now.
