William Shatner's "Weird or What?"

Anaesthesia

Did anyone see the reincarnation episode yesterday (I saw the rerun at about 11pm)?

They were talking about a man who believed he was a confederate general. They presented 3 sides to it- psycology (skeptic-false memories), a past life regressionist (believer), and a surgeon (reincarnation is possible due to 'soul' and Quantum Physics-memories can be stored on the quantum levels in brain cells rather than memories just stored in cells)

If I find the video I'll post a link.

We have a member here, Stars3, who has been on the television a time or two, here is a video link from the archives. He wrote a well known book Someone Elses Yesterday about his memories of being a Confederate General. Could it be him?

Yes I think so.

I know this is off topic but figured you could use a giggle. My eldest brother looks just like William Shatner. He once was staying at the same hotel as a sci fi convention and had people coming up to him asking for autographs.

In Southern Calif. there are agencies who hire "look-alikes" to go out and make appearances at private parties, events, etc. Years ago I visited the "Spruce Goose" museum when it was at Long Beach, CA. It had a long line so to keep us all entertained they had a guy who looked like Howard Hughes there talking to everyone. I'm sure the younger people had no idea who Howard Hughes was, but we older people enjoyed it.

My brother looked, and sounded exactly like the actor Sam Elliot. When this was pointed out, he said, "No, Sam Elliot looks exactly like me!". Yes, we are wildly off topic, but we are human. It happens!

"In Search Of" was one of my favorite shows back in the 80's. The problem today is there are too many channels and all they worry about is how to get maximum ratings so they can charge big bucks for commercials. "Sightings" and "Unsolved Mysteries" were my favorites in the 90's.

I enjoy "Celebrity Ghost Stories". The stories may, or may not be true, but at least the celebrities tell them well!

BriarRose I love that show! Although being British, I have no idea who some of the lesser celebrities are! I saw a special British episode and it was so tame in comparison! In one, the entire story was that a nutcracker had fallen from a shelf!

I just saw an ad for a new show called Ghost in my Child on the biography channel. It appears to be about children's past lives. It is on tonight at 10 pm eastern time. I will check it out but the trailer looked like it could be interesting.

Also off topic but too funny not to share. About 20 years ago I was in a restaurant in Oregon. There was a lady in a booth across from me that I knew I knew from somewhere but couldn't figure it out. After staring at each other for far too long I finally said... "I know you from somewhere but can't place it. Who are you?" "She replied I'm Lindsay Wagner". I said "OK, try again... I don't recall the name either". She said "You know... the TV show The Bionic Woman." So I popped out with "Oh yeah... I hated that show"! Wish I had taken a few seconds to consider my response, it just flew out and she was really put off by it. She left almost immediately and several other customers started laughing. The couple behind me said "Don't feel bad, we thought the same thing".
