I know there is already a poll called "How Do You Perceive Past Lives", but this is more about the statistics of people who have strong vs weak memories. I made this poll for the benefit of myself, as well as others who feel like they're the only ones without strong memories. Enjoy! wine**

I voted "weak memories in regressions with average validation". I have done PL regressions and when the guy asked me where I was I answered Engelsberg the first time, then Stromberg the second time. These are both real places in Germany.

It's possible you were in both places at different times.

@argonne1918: That was actually the case LOL.

To everyone else: please post what you chose after you vote. I made this multiple choice because I realise some people may experience more than one thing, but in order to avoid confusion, I ask you to make your choices known (If you don't want to that's fine too. I am not trying to force you)

I chose strong memories since childhood, dreams, and regressions with strong validations. It's been a long process but it has been fruitful.

I chose strong memories through regression with strong validations, as that's the main method I've used, but there's probably a mixture of weak and strong memories, depending on how deep the trance was.

Strong or weak memories in dreams with average validation.

I had just one occasion where I didn't have any memories during a regression but the same day, during my night sleep I had the memory.. With a strong validation.

I don't really fit this quiz, since I have some very strong memories during self regression, with average validation since the details and times aren't easy to research for several of my lives.

I have one life with strong memories and a strong validation.

The only life I dream about has had average validations, so I chose that answer.

What is the definition of a "strong" memory versus a "weak" memory if it doesn't depend on validations?

I'd say a memory is weaker when it's little more than a flash or quick scene in your mind in waking state or "light" meditation and you are not sure if it was your imagination or just something you saw in a movie. It's stronger when it's not only the image, but there are also deep emotions, more "certain" knowledge (as certain as we can be), more details, and more variety of feelings (that is, you also smell, hear, feel...). In my case I only get these in regression, but I guess there are people who also experience this in dreams.

I have very strong memories I couldn't validate for a number of reasons.

Anyway, I guess this question should be answered by the maker of the poll, so that we know better what to choose.

Actually, I am more confused about what "an average validation" means.

I have no memories only unexplained affinities and childhood quirks that indicated whom I may have been in the past life. As a betting man I would have bet on an Englishman (or Englishwoman) but I was born in Budapest, Hungary.

I was astonishing to many adults as a child with quirks and likes. I was crazy about hats and canes.(??)

Had I not stumble upon magical pursuit (that effectively proved to be a dead end street) I'd have never found out about AOSpare. The clue was left to me his death year(1956) and my birth years are the same (which is not always the case in reincarnation). Sometimes we come back much later sometimes we come back sooner. Usually, advanced souls come back faster, some almost weeks, days apart, as they have some reason, purpose. It took me six months or so.

Personally, I voted 'Strong memories through regression with strong validations'. But I guess it has been a combinations of strong and weak depending on the regression.

But one thing that wasn't listed which concerns myself. I have had a surprising number of in depth 'strong' flashbacks at times with going back to some previous past life. These flashbacks has varied in the timespan from just a minute or two for quite sometime.

Personally none of the above, I've had sporadic past life flash backs as a little kid and died down when I started kindergarden. My memories started to come back as I got into my senior year in highschool when I first tried past life regression to help me sleep, the memories have been getting stronger ever since.

I now realize that I had a dark mind as a kid for my age xD

Eowyn, you hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what I meant by strong vs weak memories. As for "average" validations: Let's say you remember a PL as a medieval farmer in Ireland. You remember the name of your village and also remember a major battle that took place there but you don't remember your name. Later, you go on Wikipedia or something like that and discover that battle really did take place. Like I explained in one of the poll options, an average validation is limited to historical info, not specific names or anything like that. A "strong" validation, on the other hand, would be like this: You remember a past life in the 1920s as a woman named Jane Smith, who lived in Miami, Florida from 1900-1929. You go onto Ancestry or Find A Grave and discover that Jane Smith was a real person. That is what a "strong" validation is.

Obviously, the "strength" of the validation will depend on how recent the life was. Ancient and Medieval stuff is much harder to find than stuff from the 20th Century.

Sorry this is so long, and sorry for not replying sooner. :)

Specifics - recall experinces of interest.

Hello,

Meditation has been the sole source of memories of interest.

Imagery of interest appears full-dimensional (of places I know I've never been in current live); as opposed to images constrained by framed borders of photographs, movie theater films, TV, and videos.

One or two meditations may have also included sound, smell, and even "a feel" for the surrounding environments.
