Hello everyone; I didn't know where else to go.
I would just like people to talk to and relate to so I know I'm not crazy. My husband doesn't believe in this sort of thing, and though I've tried confiding in him, he shakes it off. Well, I'm a Canadian student currently studying to be a nurse, and I plan on entering the Forces after my degree. The reason I'm here is because I believe that I'm following in my own footsteps from my past life; walking the same path. I feel a very deep connection to World War 1, namely the battle of Vimy Ridge. I have a passion for both the military and medicine, which I'm putting together in my career. One thing I've felt ALL MY LIFE which has baffled me is a fear of loud, sudden noises. Fireworks, Balloons popping, fire alarms, unexpected bumps or booms. They terrify me, almost like shell shock (post traumatic stress disorder). Yet I've never been through anything that could have sparked that.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel I was a WW1 Canadian Nursing sister that was killed in some sort of enemy attack. I did a bit of research, and there was indeed two Canadian hospitals bombed by enemy planes in 1918 in Etaples, France. Among the hundreds of other casualties were three nursing sisters, from the 1st and 7th Canadian General hospitals. I know the #7 has always been my favourite number.
Anyways, I would just like some second opinions. Do you think all these connections make sense? Is it all in my head? Any advice and support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
