Tissue Memory

I am just curious what everyone's opinion is or if anyone has any information and links regarding tissue memory. Our oldest son was born with a gaping hole in his throat. Physically though, there was nothing wrong with him. We had 4 specialists (skin, thyroid, throat ear & nose, paediatric surgeon etc etc etc) examine him and no one could tell us what he had. None of them had ever seen anything like it. In my opinion it looked like a tracheotomy hole. Very deep (you could see in) and perfectly round. However, all tests came back fine, he could eat fine etc etc and after a few days new skin started to grow over until it was all covered. My obstetrician and our family doctor after said it must have just been some kind of birth defect and closed the file on it.
Last year I went to a psycic / medium that is well known in our area and pretty well respected. Out of the blue she said you have a son that was once an indian warrior who was killed by an arrow through the throat. This was very shocking to me and I just kind of nodded and the reading took another direction. From some other previous posts in the forum I see you all have your opinions of Sylvia Browne but in one of her books she mentions tissue memory briefly which only made me want to look for more examples of this and research it some more. I have tried to ask questions (he's 5 now) but he never really gives anything back and I don't want to be too leading.
Does anyone have any info links opinions examples etc etc etc
I guess I'm just curious to learn more about it. Great Informative site by the way!!!! LOve it!!! and sorry this was so long!!!
God bless,

Hi Letter girl, welcome!

Have you ever read 20 suggestive cases of reincarnation, by Ian Stevenson?

I believe he covers the topic of birth marks, scars, defects, etc in relation to past life traumas.

Hi, Lettergirl! :)

I am one of the few supporters of Sylvia Browne on this forum, and you're right; she does go into cell memory in a few of her books. She also goes into birthmarks, etc as well, but this DEFINITELY sounds like a cell memory case.

The interesting thing about cell memory is that we all have it to some extent, though it's not always visibal. It ties in somewhat with past-life fears, etc, since the moment we are back "in the flesh" those memories are infused into the cells of our new body.

I don't have any extreme examples, but here are just a few little ones:

-I was born with a large strawberry mark on my right foot which has (luckily) almost faded away (You can only see it in certain lights). The interesting thing is that I took a bullet to the right foot in a past life. It wasn't fatal, but it did damage my foot for the rest of that incarnation.

-I also have a birthmark on my back, almost between my shoulder blades. It seemed to have gotten much smaller from before, but I took a sword to my back eons ago. I still have minor problems with the muscles/tissue in my upper back (they tense right up very easily, even up into my shoulders, which makes my hands and fingers numb for a while.)

-My brother has a large birthmark on his back. He too was an indian in a past life and took an sword/knife of some sort to the back.

-A good friend of mine has a very odd birthmark on her lower inner thigh (near her knee); it looks like a splatter or something. It turns out she was shot with some kind of gun that sends out fragments instead of one single bullet (I know NOTHING about guns and don't care to).

It seems that such birthmarks, defects, etc seem to fade over the span of a few lifetimes. For example: In a few of my lives, the birthmark on my back was larger and darker. This time around, it is quite light and much smaller than it used to be. Perhaps in your son's next life, he will just have a birthmark, etc instead of a hole. :)

Hi Lettergirl and welcome to the forum. From my angle, I wouldn't know if the psychic was on the money or not. If your son had ever said anything that sounded like a past life related to that fatal wound, that would have helped.

But yes, it's believed that wounds can carry over to future lives. I'd suggest reading Old Souls: The Scientific Search For Proof Of Past Lives by Tom Shroder.

The author accompanied researcher Ian Stevenson on various trips. If I recall correctly, the topic of scars from previous lives came up. It's entertaining and an easy read.

Good luck and please let us know if you find out anything more!

Your psychic is quite impressive.

However, I don't subscribe to the idea of tissue memory. I find such ideas to be based on superficial understanding of the subject. Reincarnation is more than a physical process. A whole human psychology based on reincarnation, in my opinion, develops a better picture of the phenomenon of reincarnation. I like comprehensive models in stead of ad hoc explanations. I have discussed one ancient model of human psyche here. According to this model, all reincarnation related information resides in our causal bodies. This is what keeps track of our karmic process as we move from one incarnation to the next. So while the idea of tissue memory tells us that the hole was carried over from the injury caused by arrow, it does not explain how the tissues carried over this memory. Based on the notion of karma, on the other hand, I would relate both the hole in his throat and the injury caused by arrow to a life prior to both these. Causal body is merely our record as an individual in cosmic memory bank (AkAsha).
