I just attended a workshop and came home so inspired I wanted to share it with you all. The information and fresh evidence -- scientifically that Gregg Braden has is amazing! I have placed this thread here -because it isn't about religion but about a code within our DNA that is revealed in ancient texts and matches the scientific periodic table of elements. The spiritual implications are staggering.

He presented information from so many Scientific journals and revealed some of the most cutting edge evidence -scientifically --the audience was in awe. He has anthropologists, archeologist, theologians, Rabbi's, and Scientists scrambling for explanation and frantically looking at rewriting human history. For example -- listed in Science News March 2004 - Vol -165 that concludes that modern man's DNA DOES NOT MATCH the Neanderthal!

It's great that you enjoyed your workshop!

I have a question: "For example -- listed in Science News March 2004 - Vol -165 that concludes that modern man's DNA DOES NOT MATCH the Neanderthal!"

As I have understood it: Scientists of today does not think that we descend from the Neandertals. That the Neandertals and the cromanions, that we decend from, are different branches of "humans". In that case the DNA shouldn't match. Or does Gregg Braden has different opinion? And how close is a match? Doesn't our DNA almost match the chimpansees? What is the spiritual meaning of the fact that the DNA doesn't match?

I am thrilled to hear more from you workshop and I must say that I haven't really understood what the God code is.

As you know I really liked his other book, that you recommened.

Well -it looks like his website and the other one skim the surface -no they don't tell you what it is do they! Sorry about that. I will do my best to explain it. I of course do not have the Hebrew alphabet on my computer key board -- so I can only give the English equivalent here.

He started the presentation by examining the Hebrew Name of God. YHVH and the principles of Gematria: Then referencing the 17 elements of the periodic table that also equal numbers. The elements Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen and Carbon -are the elements that make us physically human -our bodies. The numbers on the periodic table - numeric equivalents and the Hebrew letters are equal in meaning! They are -

Element H N O C
Numeric equivelant 1 5 6 3
Hebrew letter Y H V G

YH = God Eternal and VG = within the body.

If our essence/body was made just as God's -we would be ether and gases - not physical. It is the Carbon that makes us physical. At least that is what I heard him to say. He did say -We are the spirit of God -- in bodies on earth.

The number and alphabet equivalents are also possible in Arabic, Sanskrit, Latin, Coptic, and yes -English!

About the Neanderthal - he says it is chromosome 2 that has not always been around - that there had to be TWO SPECIES to make it - and that this kind of fusion does not happen in natural evolution.

Here is an interesting link to the Smithsonian Institute, it's a diagram showing human ancestors...I'm no scientist but it's pretty obvious to me that the question marks in the diagram indicate an abrupt introduction of new DNA...

There were many other aspects of this workshop/lecture that was so fascinating. Some of this stuff is hard to explain but I'll try. :) He told us that scientists have been researching the three sided pyramid, and the implications of this pyramid shape within the structure of DNA in our bodies. One such experiment had them baffled!

They constructed a three sided crystal pyramid and then placed it on white paper in the middle of the day. The suns light was directly above the crystal pyramid. What appeared amazed them all. There were intersecting circles (shadows) - which is cool - BUT it was the formation of HEBREW letters within those circles - that they have yet to explain!!!!!!!!!!!!

From this experiment Gregg suggested that the interaction between Light and Form - manifests as divine inspiration within the body. That the Hebrew letters where a physical manifestation of the interaction between Light and Form. He went on to explain that although we each experience God/Spirit - in a unique fashion - that each individual receives and responds differently to that divine inspiration. In other words - the MATRIX of communication is interpreted in a unique fashion by each of us.

Is anyone reading his book? Or going to the lectures? WHat are your thoughts about how LIGHT interacts with FORM and how LIGHT transforms into an ancient language when interacting with a crystal pyramid?

I just asked you a question on the other thread where you posted that quote, but would've asked it here instead if I knew you posted it here also.

A friend told me of the Meru Project more then ten years ago, and sent me some of their information. As I recall, a man cut a torus into a strip and showed how shining a light on it in different positions produced the whole Hebrew alphabet (as shadows).

Do you know where I can find out more about the torus and the Hebrew Letters? What is a torus anyway? It sounds like that experiment showed letters as shadows; for the one Gregg spoke of the Hebrew letters were within the shadows and the direct sunlight played an important role.

Either way I am interested if you know where I can find more information. Thanks in advance! :)

Eevee -and JulieZ - the very premise of Gregg's work is based on the scientific elements - facts in Biology. hint hint. ;)

I just spent an hour or so looking thru the Meru Foundation website and finally found a page which gives the kind of information I was thinking about. It's the one called The Light in the Meeting Tent.

A donut is a torus, though the one Stan is talking about seems to have a center hole of no significant size. What he apparently did was slice the torus in a way which produces a strip which is pointy at one end and expands toward the other end where it ends rather squarely.

Then he visualizes this strip being inside a tetrahedron—which (together) he calls the flame in the tent—and by changing its position produces all the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. (See the illustrations near the bottom of the page.)

It took me a while to find this because most of the site talks instead about making the letters from hand gestures. Either way, I find this all quite fascinating. A search of the web for other stuff by Stan Tenen also brings up plenty of results starting with a couple of videos and some articles by him.

I actually read this thread last night.....

and went to the Meru Foundation website and put it in my favorites so I could look through it when I had more time. I had actually already seen this website before during some "random" searching (is any searching really random??) and thought it was fascinating.

I'll have to make a point to get over there and actuall read, not just scan!

my life is chaos

I haven't had a chance to read it thoroughly yet. My teenage son thinks the computer belongs to him and it's sole purpose is to download and play paintball tourney videos :( LOL

However, the little I was able to glean looks very tantalizing indeed. I am afraid that it may end up being somewhat over my head as I did not focus on math in school . Never took geometry or anything beyond basic algebra, which I almost flunked out of !

I will give it a try tho', as soon as my son has enough money saved to BUY his own paintball gun and spend his weekends at the paintball field instead of online dreaming about paintball :)

I will get back to you in a few weeks hopefully.

Question

I have heard about another book titled The God Gene, I am not sure of the authors name. Has anyone read it?

Did anyone else attend Gregg Bradens seminar?
 
The Bible Code

I've not seen either The God Code or The God Gene, but did pick up a book this summer called The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin. He took parts of the Old Testament, written in Hebrew, and found meaningful words by locating sequences of letters vertically and at an angle, as well as in a row. He explains the Bible contains prophecies which can be deciphered this way, and gives loads of examples (words which talk about events which occurred in recent years). I've only looked at a few pages so far, but the whole idea seems fascinating.

I have that book -a very interesting read. I also saw a special on TV about it -I think there are two books out now about the Bible Code --- if I am not mistaken. Fascinating stuff to be sure. Let me know what you think when you're done reading it. I am always interested in knowing your opinion. ;)
 
I think that seeing as more people are becoming aware of this that something is definitley happening. Check Diagnosis 2012

It pretty more or less covers the 2012 mystery.

13 and 12 seem to appear a lot in history. The 13 crystal skulls, 12 tribes of Israel and another magic number. 12,000. That's how many years since the last Mayan age ended.

Supposedly towards the end of each, technology advances very fast (this is called 'The Time of the Quickening') and people become more aware spiritually.

And also, according to Plato, in his time it was 10,000 years since Atlantis disappeared. 2000 years on this makes it 12,000 years.

It's also said to be about that since the Hall of Records was sealed.

If Atlantis was in the Atlantic, survivors would have gone west and east, building pyramids either side of the Atlantic and it seems odd that the Pharaohs had different shaped skulls.

Maybe Atlantis was connected to the 'higher beings'.

As for Neanderthals and all... I think there was interference and maybe it's still happening.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I actually shelved the book a while ago. It's too low on my list of priorities and I've not done much book reading in recent weeks anyway.

My next book review will probably be about Amit Goswami's newest volume, The Quantum Doctor, which I got earlier this week at his book signing. There was quite a turnout, now that he's become something of a movie star (What the Bleep Do We Know), and his talk was excellent, IMO. Three years ago there were plenty of empty seats; this time it was hard to find a place just to stand. I lent the book to my chiropractor, but plan on reading it as soon as I get it back.

After reading Artzab's post in Mousie's 'weird tension' thread, I finally decided to read The Bible Code, by Michael Drosnin (1997), which I said I shelved last month. I don't have any books by Gregg Braden, and judging by the links Artzab gave, it looks like a number of people have jumped on the Bible Code bandwagon.

I really don't know what to make of all this info right now, and I'm taking off for the big city for a few days tomorrow morning, so I don't know when I'll get around to posting again. I have some thoughts relating to some of yesterday's messages in the 'weird tension' thread, but will need some time to sort them out and compose them at the computer.

For now I'll just say that there seems to really be something significant in all this Bible Code stuff, but the field also seems to attract some real weirdos along with those who are sincerely trying to make sense of the data. I guess it's a question of separating the wheat from the chaf.

The premise behind The God Code and the premise behind The Bible Code - are different. I have not read The Bible Code II yet - just the first one. The God Code - is awesome and really made me stop and think - about who I am - and how we are all connected - regardless of gender - or race. The God Code is definately a book where science and religion meet.

I bought The God Code a few weeks ago with the intention of reading it, but I didn't get very far into it. I got hung up... before I could even get my question answered! Perhaps someone who's actually read the book could give it a shot.

I got hung up on the fact that the numbers and letters correspond with (only) the Hebrew language. Now, as far as we know, earth languages and the order of the letters therein were created by humans (and humans gave the elements their numbers... because we created the system of numbers we use). I guess I viewed it as sort of a chicken-and-egg thing... Is there actually a message in our DNA based on the Hebrew language, or did the Hebrew language evolve in a way that made it look like this was possible? How do we know the language wasn't constructed the way it was in order to make all this code stuff possible? I know, that would be a pretty big coincidence in itself...

But how come it doesn't work with other languages? Why is it just the Hebrew language? To me, that just plays into the "god's chosen people" thing again, which has done nothing but cause suffering for centuries (with its "me vs you" attitude).

If there really is a code, why doesn't it appear in all ancient languages? Why doesn't it appear in the ancient languages of India? And what does that say for countries like China, who don't have actual letters in their writing system? They weren't "good enough" to receive this message?

It seems odd (and a little presumptuous) that such an important message would only be given to a handful of people. But maybe the book addresses these issues?

Not true- they correspond with Latin, Arabic, and other languages as well. I will look it up this evening and post then -on the run right now. Braden's lecture covered all of that and I have to dig up my notes.

Ok I just read the first part (chapters 1-3) and what I found thus far is this : Greg Braden studied the Sephar Yetzirah and based his book on those studies I assume, but he says at the end of chapter 3 :

The ancient may be viewed as a precise account of God using the letters of his name (our chemical elements) to produce the universe, the world, and our bodies. Through that understanding, we share God's essence in the foundation of our genetic code.
While the Sephar Yetzirah is not the only text to describe these relationships, it is one of the most complete. In its completeness, the understandings gleaned from this powerful narrative become a framework to understand other accounts of creation that may be less complete.

I think he implies here that the God Code is probably also described in other (maybe forgotten or yet undiscovered) texts.

It has been quite a few months since I attended his lecture -and I haven't had time to locate my notes. It was in his lecture that he clarified exactly what other languages. His book is based on the Hebrew text, the Bible and the Sephar Yetzirah - which is based on the Kabbalah. ;) I have the Sephar Yetzirah. I hope to find my notes or I will have to e-mail Mr. Braden.

How are you liking the book Eevee?

I like the book a lot. It is well written, not too difficult to read, not even part II, the scientific part (that I am reading right now).

In chapter 5 he explains that the Hebrew alphabet didn't change in the last 3,000 years, while it is a language that is still in use, unlike the 'older' languages,like Sumerian. So Hebrew is one of the most reliable languages to read ancient texts without that they are altered in translation.

And I think it is here that he links to more modern languages :

From the oldest markings of Sumerian cuneiform to today's languages, each letter of every alphabet has always been linked with a very specific number value. The study of these relationships is known historically as gematria. Through the one-to-one correspondence between letters and numbers, gematria reveals the hidden relationships and deeper layers of meaning that would normally be overlooked by simply reading the words themselves .Beyond the scope of this book, it is worthy to note that even the relatively recent English language alphabet, the fusion of ancient Greek and Latin influences,has a deeper level of meaning through the codes associated with its parent alphabets.
