Spontaneous memory

At least two days ago, I had a strange experience that I believe is supposedly past life related, although I am not completely sure. I was doing homework and I suddenly had this awkward 'vision' in my mind's eye. I had no idea where it came from. It was in a foreign place, in a different time era and I was a different person. Yet it felt very familiar and I had this 'deja vu' feeling. I knew certain information about the person I 'was'. I knew when and how he was going to die, that he had a certain number of children exc..
Then there was this emotional scene which got me a bit shaken. It was also very clear, not murky or disorganized. It made complete sense.
This might seem convincing, but it occurred supposedly in an era I am very interested in and I am afraid it might be imagination..

Since I am not very much of an expert and reincarnation is new to me, I would like to have your opinion. Do you think it is likely a past life memory or just plain nonsense?

That does not sound like imagination to me.It sounds more like a vision, from what you describe.I had a vision like that about the 1920s.It was not related to anything I was doing at the time and I thought "Where did that come from?! I think you can tell a difference..imagination is not that unexpected.

Hi Medea

Yes. It sounds like a flash back to me too. The way that you suddenly know all kinds of things at once and also have that 'funny feeling' are strong indicators.

Then there was this emotional scene which got me a bit shaken. It was also very clear, not murky or disorganized. It made complete sense.
Strong emotional content is hard to 'make up'. It is more likely this is a memory.

People will often be interested in a country or an historical era because they had a past life during that time. So, if anything it would tend to strengthen the probability to me, rather than reduce it, if this is a time that you have always been interested in.

Only you can know for sure of course, but, just for the exercise, try to deliberately imagine something so detailed and multidimensional. Most people can't do it. Then, try just writing a 'story' about this life, try to see what else you can remember, just whatever comes into your mind without thinking about it too much. You will probably find it comes very easily.

Thank you all for your advice :)

I do believe, after having given it a bit of though, that it is likely a past life memory. Although I am not sure what do with it. Should I try to know more? If yes, how? (without regression).

If you want to find out more you can investigate it via self-regression. There are various different ways of doing this. Have you had a look in the FAQ section? There is lots of useful info in there about this kind of thing.

People have had a lot of success with CDs / Youtubes that can help people self-regress. Or you can just try sitting or lying comfortably, close your eyes, relax and go over the incident again in your mind and see if anything else comes to you. This can take a bit of practice to get the mind to quiet down enough to get anything through the 'static'. If you have any prior experience with meditation or yoga or the like you will probably find it relatively easy. If not, try out the various CDs/Youtubes that others recommend until you find one that works for you.

It's actually quite a lot easier than most people think to recover past life memories.
