Sad past life story

I heard on the radio today.
A women on the radio volunteered to
be hypnotized to find out why she can't stand wear anything round her
neck, especially turtle neck sweaters.
Well she described running from people
she was bear footed running through dirt
holding a large book with handwriting
She was judged by old people and found
guilty by the court she was asked by the hypnotizist
what happened next I was screaming
I think was hanged because the stupid people thought she was a
witch. I felt bad all day about this .
 
Several of us in the forum were chased by "witch hunters" in past lives. Sounds like you may have been a victim also.

Now I am starting realize my personality hasn't changed much.

People in the U.S. think only about the "Salem Witch Hunts". But that was nothing compared to what happened in Europe over a period of several hundred years. Thousands of people were hunted and hanged, tortured, or burned at the stake. And not only people. So many black cats were killed that the rat population exploded and that led to the outbreak of the Black (bubonic) Plague.
 
It is far more likely that someone would have memories of being chased and killed in Europe for having Protestant literature in their possession. King Henry VIII and his daughter Queen Mary Tudor had people burned alive for having English translations of the Bible. And people in France used to chase down and murder Protestants. This is to say nothing of the many pogroms against Jews throughout Europe. The fear of witches was nothing compared to the paranoia regarding perceived heresies.
 
Neck sensitivity.


When I was five years old I had a dream that my mom was strangled by (now I would call them gypsy's, but in the dream I didn't have a name for them) a tall man with green hands, and there was a woman there too. I remember waking up very frightened and running to my mom to check her neck to see if it were green. Now the thing is, neither my mom or I could ever stand anyone to touch our necks. We couldn't stand to wear turtlenecks, and I didn't (and still don't) even like to wear necklaces. Mom had a big family (16 children) and several of them had a red birthmark on the back of their necks. I had the birthmark too, but mine faded away in childhood.
 
I've had dreams of being chased too. But in my case, I was shot in the back by a man with a very long rifle that flared at the end like a trumpet. I remember how he was dressed and what I was wearing. I guess it wasn't a witch hunt since I was just plain old shot?

Was this somehow connected with the time of the Pilgrims? Sounds like an old fashioned musket that loaded from the front. "Muzzle loader" I think is what they called them.
 
Thank you all. It could have been the time of the American settlements. I don't know. I was dressed in black and so was the man who shot me. He had some type of white bib-like article of clothing on his chest and a hat with a short brim and a flat crown. The gun was very long in the muzzle and flared out a little more than the one in the picture. Thanks for the link btw.

Not sure how to post the link but there is a picture in this website that looks like the weapon I saw. "Mine" didn't have the telescope-y thing above but it flared like that one. On the link that showed several pictures, there is a picture of a man and a lady. The man's clothing look almost identical to the one in my dream. Not sure about the lady, I don't remember seeing a white apron on myself.
 
That's a very good picture of a blunderbuss, even though it's not real. It's just a very good image they created on a computer. The scope on top was not on the real thing. Also the hand grenades at the bottom would not have been with the real thing either. Because the blunderbuss was so old there are probably not many photos or even the real thing around anymore.
 
Yes I realize it's only an artistic rendition. However it does show the flare at the end of the weapon as I saw it in my dreaam. I saw it a very long dark colored rifle with that kind of flare. There was no telescope mounted at the top or any other distinctive features as far as I can remember. I remember the flare at the end very well though. Thanks for all the help!
 
Doesn't seem to me like it would be very accurate. I wonder how long it took to load, then aim and fire? Maybe it was one step up from bow and arrow.
