Reoccuring Dreams

NirvanaGirl

Light Up The Darkness
Good morning & apoligies if this has been discussed before. I wanted to discuss reocurring dreams. Why do they happen?
Basically i have been having these just recently, they arent deja vu like remembering just a place or one or 2 details. I have the same full dream over & over. Thing is as soon as it begins i actually 'know' hey i've had this dream before - but i can't actually change anything you know? It just plays out the exact same! Theres 2 or 3 particular ones, and i wake up the next day and quite clearly remember the whole dream and that i have only dreamed that quite recently. I dont know off the top of my head why this happens...should i pay more attention to them and try and work them out? Are they even past life memories or just coinsodence. Out of all the things i could dream it seems fun y i have to recycle them.

PS - Before anyone asks i cannot recall them right now off the top of my head, sorry, i'll post back as soon as i can remeber ?? doh!

This may be better suited to questions but yeah... They could possibly be PLs. Memories that I had of one particular lifetime started out that way, so that's what I think.

If you're still unsure and feel the need for validation, just look stuff up and ask others for help when you don't know how to go about it.

dreams can be past life connected.Someone here suggested this before, but maybe keep a diary or something you can record what you just dreamed. For me personally sometimes dreams are premonitions of the future.(sometimes it maybe something about to happen to me in a few weeks or months. As to why they happen sometimes I am not sure.I too can't change what happens.all the best and hope the forum can help.

I agree it can be either past life memory or a premonition. Maybe keep a note book or something by the bed so you can write it down before you forget.

while I know precious little of the meaning of dreams; I can say this;I have reoccurring dreams but mine are from my subconscious thoughts resurfacing from time to time.

I know that some dreams that are meant to give us information and they are in color (usually vivid) and often over-sized in terms of scope and theme.

Often dreams can be a clue to past life but I never had those.

The common occult practice is to keep a full glass of water at the bedside and drink it in the morning - this is to remember dreams that we all have but it gets somehow "erased" in the morning - supposedly you would get the subconscious information about your, in-dream info when drinking it. Believe this or not, I don't care...try it or not, your mileage may vary...(it won't hurt you(!), read this for more info)

Some people have past life memories via recurring dreams. They are usually vivid and memorable and (obviously) set in the past. If you are having recurring dreams about a scene from the past, then, yes, they could be past life memories.

One good technique for remembering dreams is when you wake up, try not to move about. Don't sit up, don't stretch, don't even open your eyes if you can. But just lie still and see how much you can remember, then once you think you've got it, write it down straight away.

And, yes, I've moved this into 'Reincarnation Questions'.

I remember I used to have reoccurring dreams ALL THE TIME when I was younger. I remember one dream sequence in particular that was most disturbing, but probably not PL related. All my reoccurring dreams are horror dreams though... though all my dreams are different now. Sometimes they're in the same setting or are an add-on from a previous dream...

Have definitely started keeping a dream journal since about August!!! It help to remember dreams.

Thank you for each and every one's personal insight.

Mostly my dreams at the mo are horror related, death etc - but i've heard this is common in pregnancy. Other than those dreams i've had a few described here - the vivid ones, i love them, they are usually about my parents and feel so real. Also had one about where we go after death (the holding place i reckon it was) Then there is the dreams that repeat. Firstly i am going to try the glass of water - thanks for that! And secondly i'll use an old jotter and jot down what i can remember in the morning.

It never entered my mind that these could also be premonitions so also thanks for that...

Two things i'll add is i'm not sure that it was set in past times and i'm not sure i got any future info either. So i'll leave it there and return when i've got more info & can add more!
