Hi everyone

I am new here. About 28 years ago I did a past life regression and was in a Tudor house. I was a doctor performing an amputation of someone's leg.

Now all these years later I am feeling like there is a piece missing in my life. I am very into genealogy and have been working on my family tree for the past 20 years. I have since found I am related to Princess Diana, Camilla Parker Bowles and the Queen's 1st cousin.

I just can't shake this feeling. It is a feeling like my past is following me around. I have an aching feeling like I need to be living in an old Tudor style house. I almost feel heartbroken. My husband says I need to just get over it but I don't know how to. Any ideas what is going on?

A warm welcome to you, Brandy!

You are not alone with this, quite a few people here are missing something from a past life. Some collect items related to that life, some travel and visit places (or dream of it, but can't). Some are missing loved ones from the past. And, of course, there is that homesickness for another time.

Hope you'll make yourself home here.

Welcome to the forum Brandy.
I really understand your feelings. You're not the only one and this forum is the good place to better understand what 's going on.
I also feel like I am not living in the right place. Sometimes I can't stop crying. All my life I had strange recurrent dreams , déjà-vu and since my first regression last year I know why.
I started to write all I remember, all I feel, all the memories I can validate and I keep a record of the evidences .It helps me a lot but I know it is a long journey.
Best regards,
Emma

Thank you for your reply. Yes Homesick is the exact feeling.

Wow, that's a very interesting story. Do you know what brought you to do a regression, and did you already believe in reincarnation before doing it?

I attended a meditation course. I was not brought up Christian so didn't really have any belief. Then after the past life regression I became a little interested. As I got older I became more and more plagued by 'those' times of my regression. The funny thing was, that I was a hairdresser at the time and the traditional red and white sign for barbers signified the blood and the bandages. From Wikipedia - During medieval times, barbers performed surgery on customers, as well as tooth extractions. All so interesting.

Online info - Back in the day, there were two types of doctor. The first type was made up of people who were wealthy and studied medicine. They preferred an academic lifestyle and didn't like to get their hands dirty, rather than performing operations, these doctors generally just gave advice to their (wealthy) patients. The second type of doctor was the 'barber-surgeon'. Barber-surgeons would cut hair and perform cut-throat shaves, like modern barbers; and because of their skills with a blade, barber-surgeons also performed procedures such as amputations and bloodletting. Apparently, they also gave enemas. I'm not sure why you'd need skill with a blade to give an enema, but I'm not going to think about that in any more detail

I'm not sure why things happen the way they do, but it sounds like there is a deep longing on some level seeking acknowledgment. You don't need to live somewhere else to recognize this aspect of your self. I wonder if there is a way to identify with these mysterious pulls, it might mean embracing or accepting that we have lived before. To embrace the sadness a past life has brought. For many of us, we have a hard time truly assimilating that we are not just the present incarnation... Myself, I believe life goes on yet have fear of dying. This represents a disconnect between knowing and understanding. You may say, *yes I have lived before* but how well do we understand it? Again, I believe you do not need to go anywhere *outside* to discover what is going on *within.* I am learning that fear and deep emotional turbulence subsides as understanding is fulfilled. Slowly but surely, I have experienced things that have eased my fear and loneliness.

Welcome to the forums, I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for and that it makes you feel whole and at peace.

Kind regards

Thanks for your reply. I think I am getting to the point where it is more intrigue. Like trying to fit the pieces of a puzzle together. I feel like I have made quite a bit of progress today. As a person I am fairly happy and optimistic. BUT the pull is still there.

Hi Brandy,
Welcome to the forum. Interesting information about the barbers and their knives. I didn't know that. Also interesting that you discovered some threads goings through different lives. Sounds logical to me. Usually, we don't repeat past experiences but as the curious souls that we are, we love trying several variations on the same themes.

You tell us that you have mixed feelings and confusion about your past lives. Well, one thing is for sure: we can't go back but... there is nothing to prevent us from integrating some old professions and skills and preferences into the Present. At least on the level of hobbies. Or in the kitchen. I know from my past life memories that I've done a lot of crafts in the past (hihi... and with me most of us) and I find it very relaxing to work with wool in all ways possible, to work in my kitchen-garden, to collect herbs and mushrooms in the wild and things like that. In the kitchen, I usually prepare food in traditional ways. Just integrating old parts of me with modern life (love my stickblender and other modern stuff as well).

Hi Brandy! Welcome to the forum!

I think a case of homesickness is quite common when you uncover past life memories and I also think an interest in genealogy and other such things are too. The reason for that, I believe, is that there's a feeling of loss we've been carrying around and we haven't been able to identify why and that's what brings us to trying to uncover our pasts through various means.

During your regression or anything since, did you discover how you died or the circumstances around your life? I think quite unfortunately, many of us that experience feelings of loss, have them because they did indeed lose something, in the sense that usually the lives were cut short or that there was unfinished or unsettled business.

Nothing overly dramatic, but it can be as simple as perhaps someone died accidentally and the guilt of leaving a child behind followed them into their next life.
