i am 17 years old and have had strange dreams for years. I always dream i am in a large city with gold on the walls. i can look down and i see my feet are sandaled and i am wearing a white dress. I feel a sense of urgency as though i am expected somewhere. the people look at me and i just ignore them i am not important but somehow what i do is. i remember combing someone's hair and braiding it, it is sleek and black and very long.

does anyone know what this means. i can't tell my family they think i am crazy already because i will be walking or sitting and then i am in the city again and i don't know what is happening in this day and age. i think the dreams are of egypt ever since i was 5 years old i have been drawn to egypt.

there are many other dreams but this is the one i dream almost every night. please someone tell me what to do i don't know if i am insane or if it is a past life

Nobody here will think you're insane, so don't worry. Your dream could very well be a past life memory, as you're having it over and over again and it stays the same. I'd also say that if you think intuitively it's Egypt, then go with that to start with.


I suggest you read through this thread about common characteristics of a past life dream.

Welcome keirannia. Interesting dream. If you feel that it is past life related, try to meditate sometimes on it, see if you can come up with more details. Let us know what else you find :)

I think if you search the word Egypt or Egyptian you'll find quite a few references. Stories and history are interesting and exciting to uncover. Actually learning the process and understanding the theory is a personal journey. And it sounds like you have some good basis to begin with. My advise just starting out: Be diligent in the observation of your own life and circumstances; read, read, read, any and all books on the subject...there are many in the book section here, need a recommendation just ask; write, write, write your thoughts, dreams and recollections down in a personal journal...they are a good devise latter for understanding and validation; be skeptical, aware and intelligent on the things you discover; and last, understand that it is all part of your own personal quest, your soul's journey. No one else's. What can you learn? What can you do to make your life better, more compassionate and more intense? That's the fun part:rolleyes:!

thank you guys so much. i am going to start writing my dreams down and meditating more often. i will also read more about past lives. also if i write down the dreams i think i will be able to identify the era so that will be interesting

I don't know how relevant this is, but here goes.


For years I've recorded my dreams using a program I wrote (I have more than 1200 dreams in my database). Recently, I decided to debug it to the point it's "ready for prime time" and I'm making available under the GNU Copyleft: it is and always will be free.


It runs under Windows, Linux and any form of Unix (I use Linux, myself). I haven't figured out how to make the spell-checking work under windows (but it works under the other operating systems).


It allows each entry to have styled text with pictures (you can load them from a file or download them directly from the Internet --- the program will actually go on the net and retrieve pictures).


The whole database is stored with strong encryption (Blowfish).


At present, there's no way to print out the database, since I can't imagine anyone wanting to print out their innermost thoughts...

The Egyptian Hieroglyphic word processor on that page is also very cool!


To use it in Windows, just download, extract and click on the application (it looks like an ancient book). No installation necessary (to uninstall it, just delete its folder).

In my opinion, your visions seem to depict that your were a servant girl to someone of influence (perhaps). I agree with others in this forum about trying to find out more information. Maybe in your next vision, try to see what is around you, statues, inscriptions, pottery? etc. etc.

New dream (more details)


I had a new dream last night. I was walking through the same court yard. I was in a white tunic and sandals, I was also carrying some scrolls of some sort. I think they were sales records of some sort I could see the glyphs, I couldn't read them but for some reason I could understand them. I took your advice and tried to find statues and I could see an obelisk quite a ways from me and close to me there was a black statue of Anubis. I am trying to find a temple to Anubis that was close to an obelisk and having no luck but so many temples were destroyed I may never find the area.


I know I am probably going into to much detail but I can't tell anyone else so... Please if you have anymore ideas please tell me


Keirannia (has anyone ever heard of that name before, I can't find what it means but it feels so right has anyone else ever felt like that?)

Anyway, I think your dreams are very interesting. You're right that it could be difficult to find the area, but perhaps you could try to focus on a place name? Did you have light brown or dark brown skin? (could give a hint on location too).


Have you seen this thread - it may be of interest.


Also, have you tried a regression? Personally, I have had some great results using guided regression tapes, but "ordinary" meditation can also yield experiences. In the Past life regression-section you can find valuable information on professional regressions, regression cd's as well as personal accounts on the outcome of these :)

My skin is neither brown or black. It is very pale like I am now. I think I must be a slave to a scribe of some sort. I will try the regression thing and get back to you

I was glad to read that you were able to see more details from your vision (dream).


Did the court yard you walked in have many plants around you? Some potted? Did you have to get permission (or clearance) to walk (enter) into a certain area of this building you were in to deliver these scrolls?


I don't know why I asked these questions, they just came to me.


Maybe if you did, it is a detail that shows you were delivering scrolls to someone of influence, wealth, or power back then.

I saw a few potted plants, I think they were ferns of some sort. As for how I felt about carrying the scrolls, I felt superior to those around me which is odd because I have thought recently that I was a slave because I have seen my reflection in a sword (that I carry for reasons unknown) I am very pale, with red hair and blue eyes. Do you have any thoughts on this?


Oh I had forgotten to mention the weapons before I carry a longsword and a dagger. The dagger has jewels on the hilt and is rather long. I also have the feeling I know how to use these and have used them before. I will try to meditate and remember more about certain things instead of everything as a whole. Please, if you can explain why I vary in appearance from the others and still feel above them please do.

There are many forums/discussion boards online that are focused on ancient Egypt. They're not about past life memories, but many people there have huge amounts of knowledge about historical facts of Egypt. I don't have any links now, but you'll surely find some forums by searching the internet with keywords. Once when I had a PL memory of ancient Egypt and I wanted to find validation, I posted on one of these forums and got friendly and informative replies (and the validation I was after :D ).

Were you male or female in your Egypt life?


slaves generally did not carry such ornamental weapons. It is my belief you could have been someone who was somewhat important. You could have been a scribe or an accountant of some type b/c you mention carrying scrolls. There were Greeks who also lived in Egypt at the time. Perhaps that might explain your fair complexion in your dream.

might fit. Could you have been a cartographer sent there to document the roads? That would explain your different appearance, perhaps your royal protection, and your feeling of having a higher purpose there.
 
I am a female in my dreams. I think you're right about me being Greek, there were many Greeks in Egypt.


But I had a vision (is that the word?) that was completely different. I was meditating, then I was suddenly in a battle field. I was covered in tattoos and Celtic drawings. Me, my sword, and even my horse were already covered in blood and the battle still raged. This went on and it was more graphic and bloody than anything thing I have ever seen or heard. I could hear screams of the dying and war cries of those still fighting including my screams. When the battle was over several of my people were still standing, there were men and women among them. I am a red headed woman just like in my other dreams but now instead of the shoulder length hair in Egypt it is past my waist and braided. I had a conversation and they actually said "neemain" or something like that but I don't think thats my name, it didn't seem so.


Is it possible to have to past lives? Not only two, but I look almost the same there are some differences but not many.

Most of us on this board remember several past lives. So far I have remembered six - I only have detailed memories of two though, the rest are glimpses. ;)


I don't know if you were perhaps thinking of this concept:

Other than that. I was thinking that perhaps your initial dream didn't take place in ancient times, but during the Roman Empire. At it's largest they ruled Egypt as well. As you may know the Romans also fought a lot with the neighboring Celtic tribes, taking many captives, who became slaves.

Hello! I know what you mean about looking similar in 2 different past lives. In the life that I recall the most of, the 50's life, I look alot like I do currently. There were some differences, of course, but def. quite the resemblance. I have vague recollections of 2 other lives, one as a young black girl, and another as a Man ((that was just discovered recently using the Woogler CD)) So, of course, there's not gonna be much to compare to there :laugh:.

I can't give you any examples off the top of my head, but if you read books on reincarnation that include case studies you will see that you're not alone. Many people have experienced very traumatic things in their past lives and many people relive them when regressed. Be it torture, killings, wars, etc. We have all 'been there, done that' so to speak.


Try to browse this forum or look in the booksection for casestudies - perhaps it will make you feel more at ease ;)
 
I have been lookoing for the name Nemain (that is how it is spelled) is it possible she was real. Nemain was a little known celtic goddess of war panic and frenzy. Do you think it is possible Nemain and Keirannia are the same person and when I fought in wars I adopted her name

Wow - that fits well with your memory. :thumbsup: You said earlier you didn't think it was your name, so maybe you people were just praying for Nemain in times of war.
