Names

Koshka

Is it worthwhile to try to figure out your name, when you previously died in a massive tragedy? I try and I try. I search shoah databases for something that coordinates with what I remember- nothing does. I'm starting to disbelieve myself.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi Koshka,

Is it worthwhile to try to figure out your name, when you previously died in a massive tragedy?
Some may say it's important, and some may not. Personally, I search for as much validation as possible - so to me names are important.

You may want to try other records, such as birth records for the country, instead of just the shoah records - those can be inaccurate. For example, my friend's mother is listed as deceased in the holocaust, and her name stands on a memorial, when in fact, she survived.

My great great grandmother's name is spelled 3 different ways on various census records for different countries - which you may also want to take into account.

I have found names and birth records coinciding to various memories - yet others remain a mystery. It doesn't mean they don't exist - I'm just not looking in the right places. Keep looking - you never know what you might dig up ;)

Koshka, now as for myself personally, I would lovvveee to know the names that I had in my past lives. But it seems personally with me that this is the one thing that never comes. I have had flashbacks and snippets of some of the different past lives of mine. But the name that I had is the one thing that aludes me it seems in every case. Why, I do not know personally. I am also a genealogist in this life. And have to say, that I do wonder if it is even meant for me to remember the names of my other selves from these other lives. The one thing I do try to focus on is how was I in that life compared to this present life? And how does that other life impact this present life, etc.? I still have so many questions myself as to my other lives besides just the names which seem so often to be slow in coming. Hope this helps. Now just wishing you the best in this quest of yours.

Well, kmatjhwy, you're certainly not the only one who can't remember any names.. I know about 3 past lives in detail, but I can't remember any name.. not mine and not of the ones who are including. Just nothing. I have only feelings in which countries it took place. I also have met my spirit guide, who I know from a past life, but I haven't got a clue what he likes to be called.

For myself it actually doesn's matter.. but I find it stupid to talk to other people about it. I have always to refer to it with you know "that guy", "my wife in my past life", "that boyfriend".. "my brother.. no I know I haven't any .. I mean that dead one from that past life.. you know... who I can see sometimes." Lucky I don't talk much about my past lives to others. Most wouldn't understand, and certainly not in this way.

Good luck with finding your name, Koshka. I don't know if it will help if you keep trying.. maybe if you stop trying it will just come one day when you don't expect it. I don't know if I'm making sense.. perhaps it wouldn't help, but it was just what came in my mind.

validation is important for me so I try to research everything I can. I thought I knew what my name was during the Holocaust but searching databases has not found anything close in the area where I believe I lived - the last name gets lots of hits, but the first name does not. I'll admit I felt disappointed about this. I'm sure there are a lot of errors, misspellings, and just plain wrong data on such lists but equally I may be searching for the wrong information. What I think may be a first name might be a middle name, a nickname or pet name, etc.

But...I think I may have found the name of my husband in that life. The name is very close what I heard/saw in my memories (spelling slightly different), the DOB would have made him the right age, and the date of deportation from ghetto was what I remember - August 1944. I try to have a healthy dose of skepticism but what are the odds I made up all that information out of nothing? If his name is there, then mine must be somewhere...

Hi,

I never rmember when I did not believe in more than one life. I can still see myself at 11 or 12 arguing with my friends....we were all Catholic. At 15 I left the Church.

Later in life I was regressed and I said my father was a Doctor in Baltimore MD. his name was Francis Phelps and my name was Marnie. I was 5 at that time in the regression. I searched the records and found him just as I had recounted. I did not find myself...I believe I died at age 6 of diptheria.

I was already a believer and had many many knowings prior to this experience but I was gratified to find that the information was true. I had said he either lived in 1700's or 1800's...I could not make up my mind. Turns out he was born in 1799 and lived his life in the 1800's....pretty cool!!!

I suppose names come to you either when the time is right or when you are able to put yourself in that same mood you were when you remembered some parts of a past life. At least that how it works for me, most times. On rare occasions, if my recalling comes during the night and I'm lucid I somehow try to push this feeling to the maximum and eventually a name appears. But most times it just arrives with its natural surroundings. And I wonder now...at some occasions, knowing the name(s) wasn't helpful at all...so, what the purpose is at times when you don't need names is still a mystery to me!

I really haven't gotten names, and only may have figured out one, later on.

Guess if it was important, the names would come.

Good luck with finding names! I think it feels great just to hear your own name again. I still respond to mine if I'm not concentrating at the moment.

I've only figured out two of my names. They both begin with "Stan" which I've always wanted to be called even though I'm a female and my current legal name is Sarah. They are Stanislav (Russian) and Stanford (Old English). I remember some other lives but I don't know the names. If I ever have a son, I'm going to name him Stanley.

Surnames -- Genealogical research

Hello,

In regards to genealogical research, I'm currently investigating any correlations amongst possible PL cases involving same surnames, yet unrelated families. Both families live within the same geographical regions.

Any possible PL cases involving same surnames (both in past-life, and present life) yet families are unrelated by blood?

Could these be also be cases involving neighbors living (at most) a few blocks apart?

Marc

Well, I apparently have experienced one. It's a long and complicated story, but if you want I could PM you with the details.

Thank-you for offering to PM details. I'm interested in further details, and comparisons to what I'm investigating!

I would post it on the forum, but it involves living people, with details that give away their identities, Marc. I'll try to get a PM off for you over the weekend.

Just to add further details, the surnames I'm investigating were mostly known in the immigrant communities in the early twentieth Century; that is these surnames were rare throughout the US. Hence, its less diffcult to reasearch same surnames / unrelated families, and even possible (conjecture at best) PL cases.
