My Past Life Regression Experience

NirvanaGirl

Light Up The Darkness
First off, Hello. I hope this is the correct section for my post. I'd just like some opinions from like minded people who I can speak freely too. I have spoken to my hubby, but he's not overly interested and I have nobody else. Anyway, it's regarding one past life regression session I had over 2yrs ago.

I didn't really get much from it, or really 'understand'. Most importantly I want to ask if it was even real?

On one hand I can tell you I'm not a story maker. I'm not sure where the info came from. I felt totally in control, and knew everything I was saying, just answering questions off the top of my head. Now, forgive me if this sounds daft, but how do I know it was all real, and I wasn't subconsciously just talking rubbish? I half expected to be in some sort of trance state but I was fully awake, relaxed and just answering these questions like I knew the answers.

Maybe I don't fully trust my own intuition, as I still to this day doubt myself! I thought I'd feel some sort of exhilarating feeling, but i just came away thinking to myself - what was all that about, and I don't fully believe it.

First hello and welcome! That's primarily why this forum exists! To help people connect so that we can all learn and share.

If you don't have a recording or haven't done it already, I would try and write down everything you remember saying, seeing or just about anything really.

The second part of that would be to try and do research on what you've written down. Hopefully you'll connect with something or be able to prove that you knew something but aren't conciusly aware of it.

Good luck!

Hello NirvanaGirl! Welcome to the forum. As Totoro said, you've come to the right place. I think all of us that have gone through regression feel the same way at times. Would you want to share the details of what you learned? I believe that what we get from regressions are meant to help us on our journey. The lessons can be bountiful. BUT, they take time to sort out. I would also like to know what led you to have a past life regression?

Again, welcome! I look forward to reading more of your story.

Tman

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

From what you have told us, it looks like you had a typical regression experience. I don't think any of us have exactly the same experiences, but I think a lot of people have this notion that a regression is like being under a trance where you have no control over your thoughts, and you have to rely on the therapist to tell you everything that happened, and it's not like that at all. Speaking from my own personal experience, it was as if I was fully awake and aware of my surroundings, I could still hear the traffic and the birds singing outside the window, and I felt as if I was in that kind of altered state of consciousness you sometimes find yourself in when you're relaxed in bed or in a comfy chair, and your mind wanders away to some long forgotten memory from your childhood or other event in your past. We've all heard the expression "sorry, I was miles away there", well a regression isn't a lot different to that.

How did you feel about the things you were saying? Did you feel any strong lingering emotions? Can you relate any of the things you said to anything that you've experienced in this lifetime? Do you feel drawn to any particular time period or person in history, or places that you've never been to? Any phobias that you can't explain? All these things could give you some clues to your past lives.

Hi NirvanaGirl

Welcome to the forum. I too would be very interested to read your story of what occurred during the regression. How did it make you feel?

As Chris says, I think a lot of people, perhaps influenced by what they see in the movies, are expecting something far more dramatic and 'supernatural' to occur and might perhaps feel a sense of anti-climax.

Also, depending on what it was you actually uncovered, it might be more or less of an 'exhilarating' experience. Sometimes the first go isn't that exciting. You might remember something more interesting next time?

Thank you so much for all these replies they have actually made quite a lot of sense to me. I do have it on recording so todays task is to listen back, as i can't recall everything but i'll take notes! One thing i did get from it...i felt that i was disliked in some sense, it may have been due to the fact i was a soldier (maybe of a higher order) not 100% but i felt as alone in that life as i am right now if that makes sense...i had no one back then and never felt wanted and also in this life. Anyway i shall return and share what info i did get in that session :) ) Thanks!

It's great that you have your recording!

I think it's natural to be skeptical and of course it feels weird to just be coming up with all that stuff, I felt the same way after regression even after like 10 years of subscribing to reincarnation as a natural concept and having lots of pl emotions around since I was a child. Something that really helped me feel more sure of what came up in regression is finding validations. Looking through historical records and finding where details match up helped me figure out not only more about myself and the circumstances of the time, but it felt a lot more real. When you can find out things in history really were like what you saw in regression or even in a flashback, it might help your confidence and steady your belief a bit. Good luck!

The hardest part of the metaphysical is that it is hard to believe it is real because it is so simple. I can't wait to hear more. Welcome. :)

Welcome. :) When I did my first regression many years ago I was awake with my eyes closed and listening to a regression tape. The first two times nothing happened and I was disappointed. But on the third try I saw an image in my mind. It felt so real that I thought I could reach out and touch what I was seeing. Each regression I did after that I went to different lifetimes. What I saw always made sense and explained something about the current life.

Thanks everyone for all the interest you have shown. Sorry about the delay my kids are off school on October break...So I listened back on the session. Basically I had a past life experience and I also wanted to go back to 'between lives' as well - that was at the time my main fascination! So here goes, I'll skim by everything & tell you the parts I think may be of significance.

I'm wearing sandals. I'm white - but have tanned skin. I'm male. It's warm, I say it's Rome. There's lots of people around. Buildings and soldiers. It feels - safe there.

I was asked to go to a significant time in that life: I find myself inside, at my 'wifes' side, she's in bed in childbirth (a word I never have used before) I know she is dying - she's bleeding heavily.

I'm taken to 1 minute before my death : I am in the same bed she passed in, I'm old, I feel I am dying of natural causes, my son is by my side (not asked if he is my only child so not sure) but other than him there are soldiers by the door, my son is a soldier too. I say I am 63.

Well that's what I have. Firstly I must say I am annoyed I was never asked my name or which year it was!! Why?! Those would have been so much more comfort to me. I have had a brief search today and cannot place one in Roman times who A - dies at 63 & also lost a wife in childbirth.....

Not to say I am not convinced either way I just wish I had more actual 'details' Was I even a soldier myself. I did feel of importance and I also felt possibly disliked - I was alone at the end, did I chose that path!! Arrrghh I have more questions than answers it seems. Thanks for reading, opinions gratefully received

This is not from experience but from what I have heard.Sometimes asking the date is a bit hard for people to remember and can disturb a regression. There are some self regression videos on here and youtube if your interested in finding out more.

Thanks for that info Jonathon. Just today i checked YT to see if there was such videos available! Also at the start of my recording he does point out that i could end up back under. I'm going to read on here how to go about furthering my knowledge as i would agree i am simply a beginner in this field. Thanks for the reply

Since i posted this i have since had another past life experience.

This time i do have a name, date, place, what i was doing ect. But i cannot find any validation even with all these pieces of info! Not sure where exactly i should be looking i've never done much 'research' and get disheartened easily :(

Sure yes. I don't mind.

I was one of the crew members of a schooner / galleon ship - it wasn't a pirate ship. We did mapping & exploration. I worked in the kitchen but my main job was to collect specimens.

It was around 1720 before the napoleonic wars. I was a male of mixed race, my name was Jake. I died mid 30's of some sort of illness with fever involved.

The ship has an english connection but we where more in the Southern Hemisphere with connections to South Africa.

Sorry i do not have my surname or the ships name.

That would make sense. The British are the ones who drew the first modern accurate maps. This was a few years before Charles Darwin. His ship may have been doing similar work. South Africa was an important location on the British route to India and China.

Thanks so much for that info. I have absolutely no idea about any of it. Been searching for all the most obvious things, the date, my name, ships etc havent came across anything which relates.
