My daugher has talked about her other mum and dad since the age of two and a half. She would join in conversations with 'my other mummy this....' and 'my other daddy this....'.
Over the year since this started she occassionally goes off into detail about heaven and members of her 'other' family.
She has asked me whether I remember her when she was a boy, I answered that I didn't and what was her name. She told me that she did not have a name but she used to go to the toilet standing up and that she kept a snake which she called Milly?! She has also told me that she used to live in London and she got there on a 'bicycle' which she got knocked off of and she went to heaven. Sometimes when I ask her questions like what is it like or who else is there, she answers fluently telling me about other relatives of hers (eg a brother and a sister who were killed and grandparents) and sometimes she gets angry with me and tells me to stop questioning her....
She is unable to give me names of anyone although she can usually tell me the relationship to her (eg. brother/sister).
Recently we went on holiday and were sat in a restaurant. We were sat near the entrance door and people were going in and out regularly, one couple entered and my daughter looked up immediately to the woman of the couple and said 'hello, what are you doing here', the woman just carried on and I asked my daughter if she knew he, my daughter replied that she knew her from Heaven but she was younger when she knew her... that was a bit spooky as there was definitely recognition in my daughters reaction....
I will try and recall some other occasions.
Just to note, I do have conversations with my daughter when she is talking about heaven and her other family, I try and question her and she does answer confidently and fluently although sometimes she is lacking in details (eg. names) even when she is stating this it is very matter of factly and confidently....
She is quite a bright child and i do sometimes wonder that she seems to know a lot for her age - also, she has spoken well and in sentences from quite an early age, just over 18 months..
Signing off now before I blabber on any more...
