Greece

I'm studying Ancient Greece, Macedonia and Alexander the Great in university and I was wondering if anybody here has memories they wold like to share about living in these times.

Hello Mr. Mann.

One of my former lifetimes that affects me the most was during Alexander the Great's campaigns. I've recalled many things from that lifetime. Most notably battle, needing to wed in order to fulfill personal obligations within that society, grandeur, hellish conditions, apparent certain death, etc.

I also had another incarnation from ancient Greece that pre-dated Alexander's time in which I was also stuck in a cycle of fulfilling obligations that I felt trapped within.

Sincerely,

Laurasia

Hello Mr. Mann,

I also believe I lived in ancient Greece, but I couldn't tell you when. My memories are of a peasant life and they're very tranquil. It was a life with hard work, my family was not free, but not real slaves either (??). We were happy and well-fed. I died from old age with all my children and grandchildren around me.

A regression, some time ago, involved a young boy, living possibly on the Anatolian coast between Militus and Troy on the Western shores of Lydia (now Asia Minor). He was responsible to shephard the village livestock composed of sheep and goats. However, he was seemingly befriended by soldiers of the Greek ships that were anchored at the shore about a mile away. While occupied by a particular soldier, the rest carried away all the livestock, then put him back ashore and sailed off. As a consequence, he was exiled from the village and forced to run with the wild dogs of the area, stealing whatever they could to survive. He lived, but became possessed of a hateful, angry soul; loving only the dogs of his own pack.

If this never happened, it sure seems like a part of me for some reason.

I have a memory of an ancient lifetime that I'm not sure of where it happened. I feel as though it was Greece, or somewhere in that region. I only have one solid memory of that life. Our town/village was being raided by enemy soldiers. I was trying to escape with my children to safety. I was grabbed and taken to the ground by an enemy soldier. While he was on top of me, I stuck him across the face as hard as I could. That got him off of me, but only made him angry. He cought me and stabbed me in the back while I was trying to flee from him.

Macedonia

Mr. Mann,

Several years ago in a regression session, I remembered scattered images of a lifetime in ancient Macedonia. When the therapist asked me where I was, there was no doubt in my mind that it was Macedonia, but I don't know why. This is what I remembered: There were many marauding armies passing through the area for years. In our town, we had heard stories of what these armies had done to other towns and villages in their path. So the people of our town organized a local militia. We built armor, weapons and fortifications around our town and everyone contributed. We trained daily and became very proficient. I don't know if the militia ever had to fight off an invader, but what we accomplished in that town was a source of great pride for many years. If anyone else has similar memories, I would love to hear about them.

I suspect that I was something like a priestess in two different lifetimes, possibly relatively close together too, in ancient Greece. And that's funny, because I've always found myself to be more interested in ancient Rome, but I definitely think that this all took place in Greece, way, way back in the day. For one thing, I remember something about there being a lot of women of different ages who lived in a place where there were many ancient oak trees. The summers were very hot and dry here, and many of the oaks had low branches, from which hung weathered, greenish pots and pans, made from copper I guess, judging from the mottled green of their material. These pots and pans clinked and clanged together like chimes when the wind blew, and the priestesses somehow knew how to read the minds of the Gods just from all those clinks and clangs. That sounds really weird, doesn't it? Also, I think that I was a girl who came from some very tiny mountain village in Greece...I don't remember much about myself, except for that I had very light olive skin, long black hair that was mostly straight (I wore it down often), light eyes, and that I wore gray and light blue often. My father had a lot of sheep that had soft, sort of kinky hair that grew in tiny, fine, silky locks. Most of the sheep were white, but I think there were a few which were black or brown as well. I think I had at least one slightly older sister and a much-younger brother. It could get cold in the mountains. I think I was chosen to become a priestess in that life, too, and a few years ago, I read something about the acolytes for the priestesses of Delphi being selected through some type of process that involved amphoras of ice-cold water being dumped over them to see if they could withstand cold and hurt, or whatever...That all both sounds and feels incredibly familiar to me.

I think my name was something that sounded like Hecate in that life, but it might have been longer than that. But for some reason in my mind, I always link the name I had in that life with Katherine. And Hecate is a very old form of Katherine... :freak:
