Experiences with the Woolger CD

was kind of an advertisement for the cd:)
Lol yes!

Please do share your experiences. Woolger's cd does seem to be quite successfull in reviving past life memories, so I hope you will experience that too

unfortunately i wasnt successful:(

i remembered a toy from my childhood which i had long forgotten,it was a black purse which i used as a handbag to pretend i was a grown up lady.

the other part where i should try to think of a person didint really work.i mean, i saw something, some scenes and stuff, but honestly,i think it was all my imagination!!

i think meditation and hypnosis is not for me!i cant concentrate,i always get distracted very easily.when i listened to this cd i was thinking about the narrators voice and that he should drink some water...stupid i know but makes it hard to concentrate.

i am a bit disappointed now,i thought it would be easy to open a kind of a door and see things.

maybe that was kind of naive.

Don't be discouraged. It sometimes takes a few goes to get the hang of this whole meditation thing.

The fact that you had a long forgotten childhood memory is a good start. Have another try in a while.

Sorry to hear it wasn't a very successful first attempt Elisabeth, but I agree with tanguerra, at least you saw something that you had long forgotten, that's more than some people see on their first attempt.

I think one of the keys to any kind of successful regression is not to expect anything to happen at all. It's important to relax, empty your mind, and let the images flow. When you are expecting these things to happen, you don't realize that your brain is being distracted by these thoughts. It can take a bit of practice, more so for some than others.

So my advice would be to take it slowly, try a few weeks of simple relaxation exercises (in silence) Set a date and build yourself up for another attempt in say, a months time. If it still doesn't work, keep practicing, don't give up.

You might find this thread useful for a few tips: Preparing for self-guided regression

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

Hi Fri.elisabeth. Good to hear from you again.

If, when you say "naive", you mean, "I guess there are still things to learn."; Yes, you are naive, just like the rest of us! But, don't let that stop you. Everyone is naive in their own way.

When you described your difficulty concentrating and being distracted, I knew exactly what you were talking about. I have a very difficult time staying on track, sometimes. But, when I'm really into something, no one can get my attention. It's a frustrating problem for friends, students, teachers, and parents. But, as you know, this can be overcome by disciplined practice. Once you've conquered the distraction problem, your subconscious mind may open up and give you some truly remarkable memories.

As Tanguerra and ChrisR indicated, you've exhibited some progress; so don't feel defeated or discouraged at this point. If you feel that whatever is happening could be just imagination, embrace it! Go ahead and keep practicing. After you've uncovered some interesting fantasies, ask yourself why your imagination went in the direct that it did. That may indicate a certain theme, which describes who you are, and possibly, who you were in a past life.

Hi Elisabeth. I don't think there's any reason to be frustrated. If you find yourself getting distracted, you're in good company. I think we've all been there before. Meditation is like exercising a muscle. If you're not used to using it, it takes some time and commitment to get it into shape. Hang in there and keep us posted.

I think that listening to the cd a lot before you try and do a regression is best. Just listen to it over and over until you know it well and then try the regression. In doing that you become used to all of the distractions on the cd. I don't feel that concentration is the best thing to do anyway - it is better for me to just let my mind wander and think of nothing in particular. Let the cd just be in the background and let your mind either be calm or just wander where it will.

Don't discount your imagination - let it take you where it wants to go.
