Could it be true that early Christians believed in reincarnation but it was removed from the Bible?

Geddes MacGregor, author of "Reincarnation in Christianity" claims that early Christians did believe in reincarnation and that the Bible also talked about it.

Some of the examples he gives of reincarnation is when Moses is talking to his people he doesn’t say to them “your children,” but instead address them as “You” possibly indicating that it will be them who will see and hear the coming Messiah.

For sure this topic could be very controversial but thought it'd be good to bring out a discussion about it cuz it' huge.

Yes it was removed from the bible by the Catholics, however there are still phrases that hint of reincarnation even now.

Yes. Well, many gnostics did. It was Augustus who made the discussion of it punishable by death and although someone might not fear death for themselves, they would fear bringing it on other people, particularly their own families and friends, by discussing it with them. Remember that such deaths were often by humiliating and torturous means.
It had been made an heresy by the Emporor preceding Augustus but not punishable until Augustus decreed it so, because believers did not fear death for themselves as non believers did, and he and other tyrants wanted them to fear hell and so do as they were told. Same old trick today. Control the adults through the children.

The churches argue it isn't in the umpteen times changed bible. Well, it wouldn't be after being decreed an heresy, would it? Lol.

Some jews also believed in it, too. I read that some still do.
