Double past life connection

I was wondering about something. Is it possible for two people to be connected with the same past life? One person being the reincarnation and the other one just having a connection with the same past life person for what ever reason. I don't mean a split soul situation.
I am wondering what the reasoning would be for the other person that is not the reincarnation to have a connection with the said PL soul?

Sure why not? It's actually the norm for people to 'hang out' together from one life to the next, rather than the exception. The 'reason' is usually love (in one form or another).
