Dreams and spirit
Ok. I am baffled.

All my life, people have asked me if I am half Asian. Your mom or your Dad? Chinese or Japanese? Its baffling. I have almond eyes, high cheekbones, the teeth and features, everything.

I didn't know my father well, but he mentioned we had native American blood. In my mind, that satisfied the way I look.

DNA test came back. 55 percent Irish. 45 percent European. I have NO Asian or Native blood.

I once asked a priest, could it be past lives (Ive been told by 3 spiritualists I have been Japnese in many of my past lives) he said impossible, you MUST have Native American dna (he admitted it was odd I have no Asian blood, yet look visibly Asian.

Can anybody please help???? Thank youticonthumbshumbsup

What kind of DNA test was it? Some tests only look at the female (mitochondrial) DNA or the male (Y-chromosome) DNA. If you are genetically-female then you cannot be tested for Y-chromosome as these are only carried by genetic males.

A lot of Slavic and Polish, Russians, etc. have very high cheekbones and almond eyes. 'European' is a fairly broad term.

However, if you feel it may be connected to a Japanese past life, there's certainly more than a some chance that this is so.

My son has the same "issue"... Many people assume I have an Asian wife, having only known me and my son.

It's quite funny actually, I'll relate some amusing story to someone about my wife and they'll respond with something like " that's what happens when you marry a Japanese girl" or something similar.

Many times, elderly Asian women will come over to him and speak to him in Chinese. They seem to love him for some reason. Lol As far as I can tell, he looks very similar to how he was as a child in his past life. My nose and eyes are different, but otherwise my face is the same as my past life. We were all Chinese...

For years I hated to look at my own face, in pictures or the mirror. I can't explain it, but I had the feeling that I was seeing more than person or essence at the same time. I just felt that something wasn't right and I did much the same thing... Searching online photos, genealogy, anything where I could find a source of what I saw in my face.

Fast forward to reincarnation research and I found my answer. Long story short, independent of where our biological makeup comes from, we bring our energy pattern to our new lives and bodies. What I was seeing in the mirror was the essence of my past live's face (which I could still recognize) within my current one. It's a bit different because I'm male in this life..

But no doubt this us probably similar to what you're experiencing. I wonder though if maybe you're not with your usual or core soul group? And thats why the difference is so strong to your family?

Actually, it's not uncommon for people of Irish descent to have features commonly associated with people of Asian descent. So that could be part of it.

Since the James Leninger case, it appears we do look like our past lives selves. At least in some lifetimes.

Current physical appearance and past lives are not convincingly yoked in my book. I'm not saying that a person can't look like they did in a past life, but I have met many people who looked nothing like their past life. In my experience the opposite is far more common. Often, relying on physical 'evidence' can blind us to intangible truths gained only through introspection.

That being said even I've been asked if I was of Asian descent at least two or three times and I have absolutely no Asian relatives ( they're all Western European or African ). So I guess if you have features that match your past life then it's a bonus - but not necessarily a sign. If you think you have a past life in Asia then searching your memories will likely be more effective than searching your DNA.

I don't like how those DNA tests say "you' re Irish/ you're central european". Is Irish a race? No. Many people of different races live in central Europe. You can only determine your race by your phenotypical characteristics, not by your DNA. Both my parents could be black african, but if I' m white and blonde haired then I' m not black. It's as simple as that, the genes that you express determine your race, not your DNA. You could also be a different race or subrace than your siblings.
Not everything relies on the DNA. To be classified as a certain race you just need to phenotypically look like that race. Also, what does being 55% irish implies? What races/subraces live in Ireland? Celtic? Atlantoid? There's also 200.000 people from eastern Europe living in Ireland. Those DNA tests are made by taking a sample group from those countries.

First of all, how far did you recess into your ancestry? Sometimes genes can be incredibly recessive. "DNA test came back. 55 percent Irish. 45 percent European." Irish people often have very high cheekbones. And 45% European? That's way too broad to consider too much. Where in Europe? Europe is very, very vast.

I mean, I look identical to my past life self and do not look like my parents - however we all are still bound to our DNA. Many health disorders have carried over, and I can note minor similarities to my parents and family. My genes are very recessive though and I mostly see similarities in my Grandparents and Great-Grandparents; although when you're looking for similarities you can easily find it with anyone you choose to compare yourself to.

Either way, I find the 45% European comment to be far too broad. Many European bloodlines can cause for almond eyes, high cheekbones, and everything else you described. Unless you look very Asian. However, there is no image for us to really gauge that.
