Daughter

I am looking for some guidance. My daughter is 5. Since she is very young she has made odd comments that made us think she has been here before, she has also shown some telepathic ability. An acquaintance suggested she may be a crystal child, something I had never heard of, due to her personality. She has a round birthmark on her bottom since birth, about 2cms across. I saw this on this site when reading some of the other accounts.
A few days ago she got extremely upset when reading a story & the name Craig came up, she said she can't say the name. I asked why and she said that she feels it's her name. My husband has trained in hypnotism & past life regression but she is too young to go through this as he has seen the effect it has on adults. I don't know whether I should explore this further or whether I am better ignoring it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. :) Your daughter is at the right age for remembering past lives. Many people who remember past lives also have psychic ability. That's very common here in the forum. It sounds like she may have been a boy named "Craig". You need to start a journal and write down everything she says that might be past life related. You can ask her open ended questions. Best times to ask are when they are sleepy or riding in a car. Look through the forum, there are tons of information here. Carol Bowman has written two books: "Children's Past Lives" and "Return From Heaven". There are also other books listed in the book section.

If a memory is coming up spontaneously, as it is for your daughter, I suggest that you and your husband read my first book, Children's Past Lives. I offer advice on how to talk to a young child who is having spontaneous memories.

Your husband is right: you really can't regress a child that age. But you can talk them through a spontaneous memory without hypnosis. Or, you can use bridging techniques--as I talk about in my book, to bring up more information, especially if a child seems troubled by the past life memory.

We used a bridging technique with my son when he was five. He had a phobia of loud booming sounds. We asked him to close his eyes, and tell us what he saw when he heard those sounds. That simple technique brought up his battlefield memory and helped him resolve what was still disturbing him from his previous life.

If your husband is familiar with working with past lives, that might be the way to go, if you feel your daughter needs help. If it's not a troubling memory, there's no need to do anything.

It's a good idea to write these remarks down so you have a chronology, and you can remember exactly what she's said.
