Birthmarks: Let's have a look at what we are talking about

What is a birthmark? Several times I tried to find the answer on the internet because I wanted to know if my dark spots were a birthmark or not. Still, I am not completely convinced about whether it's a yes or a no.

All my life I've had a darker piece of skin. When I was a girl, it was really dark and visible, so sometimes people thought I didn't wash good enough. Nowadays it's hardly visible anymore. The darkness faded away and only myself knows it's there. It's on my left leg. With some imagination, it could have been an ugly wound.

There are two strange things about it. One is that I have a (female) friend who has the same kind of 'birthmark' but hers is at the same place on her right leg. The second strange thing is that I've had periods in my life in which my legs didn't function well due to mysterious reasons (yes, I've been in the hospital for research, they couldn't find anything, except that sometimes my nerves seemed to be blocked) but... most problems were on my right leg, not the one with the birthmark on it.

I have several reasons to think that in my very last life I was a male soldier, a parachutist. I don't know what war and I don't know how I died. I don't think a wound on the leg will be lethal.

I made some pictures and I have to tell I made color adjustments to the pictures so the marks are visible now like they were when I was a small child.

I am curious about the so-called birthmarks of other people here on the board. Do you guys have pictures?

Hi! I like this post! Interesting what you write about your memories. I don't know if it is allowed or not (because I don't have a picture), but I would just like to say that I remember as Laura that her husband who had fought in WW1 had been shot and had every day pain, every night pain where he was shot in his thigh area and would try to take it away, but he just had to live with it. We sold of to auction a lot of the animals we had, except for horse (this was validated through an ad in an old newspaper in New Zealand) because I don't think he could work like he use to before the injury. Even if the shot did not kill him it made a drastic change to his well being and life in general. I think one can categorize that as a trauma and from what I have read this too can manifest itself in a future life by what you have described.

Best Wishes

Hi, Firefly !
Great idea ! What you have, to me, looks similar to something that could have been a blast wound.

Interesting, I had never thought about this. I always doubted if a wound in the leg was enough to kill a body and I didn't think so. What I do consider is a nasty infection: bacteria. That would make sense with an experience I had in this life. I really have to think this over seriously. I have no conscious memories about being wounded in this past life but in my twenties in this life, I've had a really tough period (4 years) in which I lived through incredible pains that could not be explained by my doctors. Often my legs didn't work.

On the other hand, perhaps I don't want to know this stuff and this miserable life as a combat. I hate war, I hate cruelty.

I have a red dot on each hand and they're on my arms too, but not my legs. Like little pen marks.

For a long time I thought something was wrong with my skin, but I'm not so sure it's dermatology related. I've had them my whole life and they've never bothered me. They're just there.

During my Roman PL, I was basically hacked up with a sword. Every time I got stabbed or sliced, the entry point was conveniently in the spots where I now have these little red marks. Is that considered a birthmark?

My birthmark has faded somewhat with age. I have felt pain in that area when recalling / trigger to recall my past life death (sharp pain that I can’t compare to anything since I’ve never experienced any pain like that from this life.) I can not see the birthmark much now since thanks to the the kids ive ruined my abdomen and it’s left me with loose skin. It’s still there though.

No picture, sorry !

(I had some nasty looking birthmarks during my years of childhood that has been removed and if I will ever find a photograph from childhood that reveal them I will scan them to place here.

When I was a child I use to have a bad and persistent nightmare where I later said a man was hurting me, but I was a woman in this dream and not a child.

Even if throwing someone against a wall was no cause of death, it may still have caused a trauma to then have lived on to the next incarnation, who knows? (the birthmarks were on my back).

When I later found her identity I found in time a photograph from a newspaper of her last boyfriend. He was the one in my nightmare. Creepy stuff.

Talking about birthmarks on the internet, people mention exit wounds and entry wounds. Does anyone know how to distinguish those (being birthmarks)?

Only after I posted this picture in this thread, I happened to see a kind of circle in these spots and now that I know this, I cannot undo seeing a circle... :) I just wonder, if this had been a wound, would it have been an entry or an exit wound?

I had thought it would be interesting to compare birthmarks in this thread (and still think so) but unexpectedly it gives me and my body a lot of stress since yesterday. Believe it or not, but the same weird things came back today as thirty years ago. Well, in a very homeopathic dose (haha), when I walked down the street there were split-seconds in which I had no control over my legs, not enough to stumble or fall down, just a complete disconnection for split-seconds. There is movement in my subconsciousness and I wonder if there is a new story waiting to be told. I figured out that if the left leg was shot while still hanging in the air, the right leg had to absorb the weight of the body when landing and maybe that's the reason I had worse problems with my right leg in this life than with the left one (with the wound).

I also reflected on Speedwells observations, that resonate a lot:

Where I feel I didn't quite fit that pattern was that my childhood, even into my teens, was one of confusion. In some ways it seemed as though this was my very first life, my first time being human, and so many little things had to be explained to me, things I didn't relate to or understand, all the human conventions about how people should dress, how they should behave, social conventions and norms. Everything was so baffling to me. And more baffling to my family who would react angrily when I asked yet again questions about why or what was going on.

This is something I've expressed before, I'm not sure where, but somewhere on this forum, I expressed the idea of having an extra helping of "forgetfulness" before I came to this life. Just as there are those children who remember strongly a past life, and talk about it, at the other end there are surely those who don't even remember being human, don't consider themselves human. I felt more like some sort of floating spirit, caught up in a physical body.

I interpreted it as: When your last circumstances were so traumatic, your consciousness makes an extra effort to forget all memories. What Speedwell described happened to me too. I felt lost and didn't understand people and thought they were cruel and senseless. I had to learn to become human again.
But why did 'war' scare me so much? If I had died after my landing on the ground, I hadn't experienced much of the war, I guess. Maybe only one day in Hell. Is that enough for trauma? I also still wonder if it was the landing in Normandy because I was almost obsessed by this when I was young. I've been several times at Omaha Beach and other beaches, when I was a girl, read absolutely everything about D-day, went to the cemeteries and wrote my high school thesis (for history) about the landing in Normandy. Or I survived and participated in another war (Korean) as well.
