I'm afraid of a painful death, but actually dying never really bothered me all that much. Much like Tanker, I had a brush with possible death, although it involved a massive tree and not a car. When it was over, I remembered thinking about how I wanted to go real peaceful.
I've always tried to...
You just have to kind of feel it. Only you can tell you if you're sure. The only advice I can really give you is to not wallow in guilt; it'll eat you up.
Telling myself that I did it, it's over, and that it was time to move on really helped.
The hardest part now is trying to mend the...
It's possible to forgive yourself, but it'll probably take some time. It took me a long time just to accept what I did; I took the lives of many who are now very dear to me.
You're not that person anymore, you're you. Are you genuinely sorry and remorseful for what you did? Start there.
I hear you lol. I used to get really upset when my mom or grandma tried to mess with my hair and I loathed getting it cut.
For my Greek self, however, the only thing I can say is that I'm grateful that I don't have her natural loose curls. Just thinking about trying to handle that makes my arms...
For me, even though I had a flashback to a female life, my hair is much more apart of my male identity. My most recent life was as a Native American man who was pretty proud of his long hair and it's likely the reason I keep mine long now.
My hair is really long and thick, and I recently bought myself a hair stick off of Amazon so that I could put my hair up in a bun without using using a million pins and hair ties. As soon as I stuck it into my hair, I had a mental flashback to my female past life in Greece. I was putting my...
Here's another one I had lately! It's not so much a food, but my mom gave me some sugar cookie tea made with thistle milk and barley as a Christmas gift. Took one sip and my mind went right back to the 1600s lol
It's definitely possible you could have known him! You don't sound crazy at all.
I never thought to use a tarot deck for past lives. Maybe I'll have to try that myself.
Welcome to the forum Tabitha! Some of those memories can be very painful, but some of them can be really pleasant too. I agree that we run into people for a reason, even if we don't always know what it is.
My mother in a PL (who died giving birth to me) is someone who's been bouncing in and out...
It was a little less common, at least in the 20th century, but teen pregnancy definitely happened. It just wasn't as talked about or acceptable as it is now. If you got pregnant young and unmarried, your family was liable to ship you off somewhere until you had the baby. I probably only exist...
Tbh I always assumed Egypt was sort of a mixed bag in terms of ethnicity. That's like prime trade location, so there would have been a lot of people mingling around.
Welcome!
While it wasn't a dream, I did have a fairly easy time learning Latin vocabulary in school. It was Classical Latin, so it was different than the Vulgar Latin I would have spoken during my life in Rome, but the actual words came super easy to me. The grammar, not so much lol.
All different kinds! Traditional Indian music, Native American, Medieval, and Mongolian throat singing to be specific. I'll have to check out Yiddish music!
Gladiator got me real good. We watched it in Latin class and during that arena scene, I just had this not so great feeling in my stomach. I couldn't actually remember anything yet, but I could definitely feel it. I wasn't a gladiator, but I was killed by one, in what I believe was the Roman...
There is something rather homey about medieval life. Maybe it was the over all simplicity and the satisfaction of having to do everything yourself.
My experience with the medieval Europe was really only one lifetime that ended rather badly with me being burned alive. Personally, I wouldn't go...
