Hi Totoro, I first heard of the Gospel of Thomas in a book on Zen. I think it was back in the late 60s or early 70s. I can't remember the name of the book, but it quoted sayings from the Gospel of Thomas along with (and often with parallel meanings to) those being quoted from Zen masters. I...

Hi Sakamoto Ryoma, This sounds like a forbidden love, which may have been only on your side. Things like this certainly happen. She might have been your superior from a societal standpoint or already have had a spouse. Perhaps, as in the case of Romeo and Juliet, she was part of an enemy...

Hi Totoro, I am familiar with the Gospel of Thomas, and especially like one saying (that I believe speaks to reincarnation). However, I don't think it can be exalted over the rest of scripture. The tone is different, but I generally see it as being something that can be harmonized with the...

Hi Sakamoto Ryoma, This is a very interested "snippet" memory. Brief, but seemingly very vivid and memorable. And, to me at least, the woman and her smile seem to be the focal point of the memory. It makes me wonder whether this is a preparatory flashback, possibly presaging a coming renewal...

Hi Erica, I can't help but return to the topic of the past life you describe. He is a very interesting character, and though I am not a royalist, his dignity and ability to be composed and explain his position to his subjects while standing next to the executioner with his axe does speak well...

Hi Galaxy, I do not believe that being unconscious while having a cardiac arrest or numerous other phenomena that put one on the point of death is what the term NDE is used to describe. Actually, I have never heard it used for such a thing. Many people have accidents or other close encounters...

Hi Galaxy, To me, it is actually very difficult to think otherwise. However, I believe this is especially true for those who have had NDEs or OBEs. I experienced the latter around the age of 20. I already was very inclined to believe in an after-life/reincarnation, but my OBEs also helped to...

There is something present and future both happening at the moment: the projected close approach of a very dangerous interloper from beyond the Solar System. However, since it is happening right now rather than later, it seems like the topic (which I am naming: Monsters from the Dark) would go...

Hi Erica, If you were who the foregoing seems (at least to me) to indicate, it might be better to forego the death scene, though it seems that he died very well indeed. I don't think one could ask for more dignity and poise at such an occasion. Cordially, S&S

Hi Cryscat, This person and her precognitive dreams are intriguing. There is a fair amount online, but not enough to really evaluate her accuracy (at least not that I can find). However, I will be watching for something to happen in July in that corner of the world. It sounds like it could...

Nothing for me. However, based on ideas, dreams, etc. that were circulating around here a few years back, I would not be surprised--though horrified.

Hi Ocean, Thanks for commenting. I had not realized that this type of thing was also a problem elsewhere. Also, though there are many differences between the cursive I was taught and the two styles you linked, I was surprised to find that many letters were similar or the same. Cordially...

Hi Mini, I agree in terms of penmanship. Part of the problem is the invention of the typewriter, which already lessened the value of good handwriting. However, the quietus was dealt by the omnipresent computer keyboard. But, I have found that after incorporating the new one often returns to...

Hi Cloud, Very interesting stuff! I'll have to sort out my thoughts a bit before trying to respond in detail. However, I am impressed by connections to ancient Persia, as I have a great deal of respect for the Magi of that era. I'll also try to keep an open mind on the Peacock Angel. On...

Hi Mini, The "R" is boldly done in both, which may indicate a similarity in at least one trait related to such things--perhaps assertiveness? confidence? boldness? . . . . However, Rudolph's signature has a degree of flow and grace that is lacking in your son's signature. This could be...

Hi Alex, A quick search of "Alexander Hamilton" brought up numerous posts from folks claiming a relationship and trying to find you. There were also seemed to be at least one claiming to be Alexander Hamilton (which may have been you posting earlier). Anyway, you might want to search your own...

Thanks!

On December 11, 2014, I made my first post on the board, starting this thread. It has been 10 years, and I don't think that I have any more assurance about anything related to my own putative past lives than I had 10 years ago. That is a strange place to be after 10 years. Maybe I will try...

Hi Totoro, Now is the time to get back to some of the things you had to set aside over the course of the years (and the ones you never got around to or hadn't even thought of yet). ;) The problem is often how to winnow the list down to a reasonable number (or only one if that is all time and...

One of the most frightening things about this is that it sounds like Portland and other cities/areas that will be the most severely impacted are not really prepared, both in terms of the structure of buildings and the locations/evacuation routes for populations, for either earth quakes or...
