Personally, I think that your viewpoint on what consists of being rich is all wrong.

Nobody has it all.
Bill Gates is the richest man in the world.
He has his own Caribbean island.
But, does it have a runway long enough to land a full blown jumbo aircraft?
China's artificial islands in the South China Sea will put any billionaire to shame.

IMO, ethereal time does exist, and it's completely different from Earthly time. If we think of life as a holographic DVD movie, each time we live a life, we take out a holographic DVD disc and play it. Then, it makes sense that the next movie could be set in the Stone Age, and the one after...
IMO, life is hell. Who in their right mind wants to live a fleshly reality? We're all here to repay some karmic debt incurred in the previous life.
BTW, recently, I watched a Chinese drama [subbed in ENG] called Three Lives, Three Worlds, where celestials are sent to experience a mortal life...
These kinds of coincidences are evidence suggesting all our lives are scripted from birth to death. And events repeating themselves... that's just the life writer/director being lazy and running out of ideas.
